okay- so my x2 flaked a couple of weeks ago- jumping from app to app, buttons not working, etc- battery-pull and reboot- reboots into safe mode and still acting crazy. I figured "no problem" and tried the linux flash but the computer won't recognize the device. No problem- right? I re-installed the drivers and installed rsd lite- computer sees the phone and looks like rsd flash works but after the flash, the device appears to be in the same state it was before the flash- still in safe mode and jumping all over the place and does not appear to have flashed at all based on the fact that the wallpaper is still the same picture it was before the flash. I can't navigate the device because it's jumping all over the place and the buttons aren't working properly. I can boot into the recovery modes- volume down with power button gives me the options but I'm unfamiliar with most of them and there doesn't seem to be an abundance of help on the forums. I hope this makes sense. Anyone...? Bueller..?

Since you can boot into recovery, do a data/factory reset and wipe cache. Or, just wipe cache, and if that doesn't work, then wipe data/factory reset.

-just discovered that when I choose "android recovery mode," I get the triangle/ exclamation point/ droid icon - no options to wipe cache or factory rest. -any other suggestions? Thanks for responding, by the way.

When at the exclamation, press the UP and DOWN volume buttons at the same time. Where does that put you?

You probably need to use a computer running windows.

rsd lite is a windows application but, as I said, it's not working; the linux flash is generally more reliable but the device isn't recognized. Have you flashed before?

I've flashed my D1 numerous times. I'm not sure how to help you then... maybe someone will come along who can figure this out... I'm sorry...
