i'm switching from a blackberry to a droid around the first week of january. my question is this.....really looking at the incredible as the x just looks really cluttered with all the blur stuff. i like the ease of the sense ui and it looks alot cleaner. since i'm so new to droid....are there phones geared toward men or women?

    i'm being really stupid aren't i?

I soubt it. Just get whatever phone youj like. Your not alone, not many people actually like motoblur, although you can change exactly what yourr home screen looks like a nd feels like with a custom home replacement, like ADW Launcher or Launcherpro, two of the more popular ones here.

If you are looking for a really manly phone, my sister has an old pink Moto Razr laying around her house somewhere, I will gladly send it to you.

If you think the X is cluttered with Blur, wait till you try the Incredible with SenseUI.

Or you could install ADW Launcher from the market and get rid of the Blur on the X.

Yes! The bigger screen will distract people from areas they're not comfortable having people look at! ;)

My wife has an the Incredible - and I have an Original Droid, but I am not looking at the DX as a potential upgrade -

...the MotoEtna is something I am interested in but it is more of what it has to offer on the inside - Dual Core 4.0" screen

lol no, no phones are geared towards any gender. Whenthe first droids came out I noticed women did go for the Eris, but that's not longer the case.

it's whatever you like the most, head to the store and try them all out.

    Get what you like :)

There's no phones geared toward gender. And even if there was, who cares? It's gonna be YOUR phone, you should like it :)

thanks to all of you for your input. in my research i've found that i dont much care for the UI of the motorola droids...but i kinda liked the incredible UI. i like the size of it better. it just seems to be a simpler...cleaner device.

i'm sure once i upgrade in a few weeks that i'll have tons of questions.

    thanks again....
