Haven't seen this posted on here so I thought I'd share. I take no credit for this.

    [dancedroidBOOT ANIMATION]dancedroid

    Super Smooth 30FPS!

It has to be one of the best Boot Animations I've seen. Simple. You don't have to watch your phone the entire time to get the full effect unlike others!

    Preview:

Note: Please let .gif load! Once loaded its the actual FPS/Speed as boot animation.

No, you'll need root access to alter that file.

Get Root Explorer (worth the $$) and copy it from /sd/download and paste in data/local and rename it to just "bootanimation.zip" and you should be good to go!

ES File Explorer does the same job for free.
You can mount the system directory as writeable and away you go.
Its how I install custom bootanimations.
I keep a whole bunch on my sd card and switch them out periodically depending on my mood.

Btw, that looks like an altered Nexus One boot animation, looks nice :)

Assuming you are using Estrongs (ES) File Explorer, AND you have Root user access:

    Settings > Root Options
You get two options with a check box on each:
    -Root Explorer
    -Mount File System

Once you check Root Explorer, a popup asks you CM or HiAPK. I left it on HiAPK (CM causes me to crash), and now Mount File System becomes ungray. Once I checked Mount File System, I had to obtain Superuser Permissions

Now once you're back in the ES File Explorer, in the top left you can either have a "RAM" icon picture or an "SD Card" picture. use that to switch back and forth between system and SD Card, but now in System mode you can actually see and edit files around (but be careful).

    Anytime.

I keep having issues and I'm not sure its related to me mounting the file system directory or not, but periodically I go back into ES File Explorer and it keeps telling me SD Card not mounted or present.

Annoying, but all I do is clear data in Applications Settings, and I can use it again.
