wth cant root the droid x

    I am having a very difficult time in rooting my droid x. my phone has all the new updates and what not and I have tried to use unlockr and z4root and both unsuccessful. this is driving me nuts. my computer wont let me download the apk file either

    Some more information would be helpful.

    What version of Z4 did you use? Are you on a Mac or a PC? Where are you trying to get any .apks? Anything else you might consider pertinent would be helpful. Thank you. :)

    The newest version of z4root and using pc. Been getting apks from the droid forums. Also tried android sdk and that did not work

    Newest version being what? 1.3? If so, yes, that's the latest version. Again, are you using a Mac or a PC? I'm guessing PC if you're talking the SDK, but I could be wrong.

    What system version do you have? I ask because I've seen a lot of people saying they have the latest version of anything and they've been two or three revisions behind.
