I have looked through the forum and for all other solutions via google, including calling tech support at Verizon and Motorola. Can someone confirm that my phone needs to be replaced?
My D2G won't vibrate when receiving texts. Yes, both the text app settings and the sound settings have been set to vibrate. I have rooted the phone, so I am concerned about replacing it. Could rooting it have caused the problem? I know I can un-root. Any other ideas or thoughts? I have seen others with similar posts, but most just didn't turn on the "vibrate: option in both places. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What helped me out was an apply called sound manager and it made it work.

Dumb question but did you set it to vibrate only in silent mode or are you setting it to vibrate all the time?

I download the sound control app. Didn't help even with vibrate selected for "whenever possible." Cool app though. I like the scheduling feature
