    Hi All,

I am currently running the newest version of Simply Stunning on my OG Droid. I have taken the newest patch and applied it.

But I am having issues with getting wifi tethering up and running. The program seems to start up OK but it doesnt seem to broadcast the SSID. I checked the settings and it should be broadcasting. I also ran fix permissions but it still didn't work. Any thoughts as to what could be causing the issue?

    Thanks!

More info please. Like what version of wireless tether you are using, OS on your PC, and other important things.

    Running Simply Stunning 5.4

    The kernel is 2.6.32- LowV-1 Ghz-ChevyNo1

Tried using Wireless Tether app and Barnacle Wifi app.
The computer is a Asus Transformer running Honeycomb

It seems like the apps are starting up fine but when I get to the the transformer and try to find the SSID it doesn't display.

Edit-The version of wirelss tether is 2.0.8 pre 1

Thanks for all and any help.

And nothing shows in the log for the tether app? If not - install alogcat from the market, fire it up - start tether - go back to alogcat, save, and send the output to chevyno1.droid@gmail.com - I will take a look

i have a transformer. it natively does not accept adhoc wifi. you need to use a different wpa_supplicant. i believe that can be found on xda

edit: you can always tether via bluetooth (its what i use)

The referenced patch will be built into SS going forward - thanks for the link!
