-g should work fine. What app do you have? Wireless tether for root users is what you want.

That's what I use and it won't connect. Is there some setting up I have to do?

    Not that I know of.

Your PC cannot see the "android tether" after you start tethering?

Did you change your SSID? Is your tether encrypted?

Do you have the latest Wireless Tether for Rooted Users? If not go here: Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code and download 205 pre3.

I installed it yesterday and used my file manager to install and it tethered for 20 minutes earlier this morning with no fiddling. I turned on the app, the computer recognized the new network (android tether) and it connected and worked with no further issues.

    BTW, I run Sapphire 0.8.4 and a P3 kernel (125mhz - 1.25Ghz 7 slot LV).

    Good luck.

Works for me every time, even for my PSP and NDS. I never had any issues.

What message are you getting? Is it saying unable to connect, or is it not giving you an option to connect?

    I'm having an issue too.

It basically connects fine. But after a few minutes, the pages just stop loading. Then I can't get anything to load. After I disable the PC and the Tether app, it connects and works. But only for a few minutes.

    I just DL'd the 205 pre3 so hopefully that'll do it.
