When will people realize that threads like these are pointless? It's like everyone is patting themselves on the back and need to feel better about their android purchases our something. If you asked this on an iphone forum it would have opposite results... Which confirms how pointless this is.

Dumb threads like these make no sense. Both phones are great and PLENTY of people will SWITCH to an iphone. To act like that won't happen makes no sense. But it's funny to read how passionate people get about a phone. It's like you think you'll get royalties everytime you say how great android is. (same goes for the people on the iphone forums who bash android)

I've owned all but the iPhone 4 (still have my 3G-S) and I can DEF say no. IPhone is a great phone and nothing can be taken away from it but, my Droid just fits me better. The iPhone changed phones forever though! Android has given me a passion that I never knew I had! The ONLY thing I miss about my iPhone is the FB is MUCH, MUCH better than the one on Android. Other than that, I'm more than satisfied right where I am! :dancedroid:

I really wanted the iPhone and figured the Droid X was as close as I was going to get. I felt I had no other option. but now that I have had my Droid X for a few months, I have fallen quite in love with it and see no reason to dump it. in a year and a half when my contract is up, I might reconsider. but definetely no reason to early terminate.

Haha!! I hope you have better luck than I did with my 3G-S and D1. The D1 kept bullying it around and stealing my attention so my iPhone got neglected and left on airplane mode indefinitely! :dancedroid:

Lol, do you even use it any more?

The iPhone is a good device for those that like to be led. Not for those that like to choose for them selves.

The iPhone is a good phone (just with really crappy service here in the states), but it's limited by its interface and by the fact that there's just ONE type of hardware and software. Want a bigger screen? NOPE! Want a faster processor? NOPE! Want a homescreen for your most-used apps? OUTTA LUCK, BUSTER!

Does this make the Android platform superior? That's a subjective question, so the answer varies based on who you ask. Yes, an iPhone and a Droid can be friends. Just don't ask either one about religious beliefs -- the iPhone will STRONGLY believe in Jobs and the Droid will ask for proof, then Google it. :)
