Nah chances are no, ota is blocked by default with most roms, that is if you have installed a custom rom

I just rooted it, no Roms will we get it at all?

I'm pretty sure you usally get OTA if you're just rooted. You won't if you have a ROM though.

Note: It's usually a good idea to give the DEVs some time with the update to figure out stuff before you upgrade to it.

if you just rooted you'll still get the ota, however if you then take it, it will remove your root

it sems to have the possibility to get it, they were even talking about the first moto droid possibly getting it

Stock D2G should get Gingerbread as Gingerbread is for current-gen devices. Honeycomb, however, is a little iffy as it's being optimized for dual-core devices. However, it's not ruled out.
