I see that a version of Froyo for the Droid has been leaked that is newer than the OTA version FRB01B. Will SS4.7 be using that leak as the basis for proprietary files? Early reports are that the UI is "snappier" with this version - maybe it will address some of the redraw issues with the various launchers (Launcher2, LauncherPro and ADW).

Edit: I see that another thread has already been started on this issue. Thanks.

You might want to hang and wait to see what Verizon re-releases... they just suspended their 2.2 OTA today.

(Perhaps they are fixing Stagefright? Who knows, details a sketchy)

I don't think I want to even try Verizon's version.

Some how I think trying Verizon's version would be like stepping out of a Bentley and into a Chrysler 300C...yes from a distance they look similar, but when you get right down to it, there is no comparison at any angle or level...One is an ultra luxury super car the other is a product of a nearly bankrupt, cheaply built, POS has been company. Me, I will never un-root or load a stock Verizon file unless I am ready to sell this thing.

Nooooo no no... I'm not saying install the OTA :icon_eek:, I'm talking about seeing if it has core improvements to use it as the SOURCE for the next SS build.

Does anyone know if the code has been released? There are no new tags/branches, so unless they are including it in the 'froyo' branch ... I haven't seen anything new.

All I know is what I'm reading here... and I just read the news post from a couple hours ago that seemed to confirm that FRG22 is what VZW will be rolling out shortly.

    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-news/67010-verizon-make-frg22-official-droid-2-2-ota.html

Interesting to note the internal memo states that the whole reason for pulling FRG01 was because "Adobe hasn't posted flash to the market"? It appears for me... then again, I already had it installed. Heh, why do they lie to their associates?
