Greg I love your work. It is excellent. Running pe 6.5 on primes deprime kernel and I have 60% battery life left after 5 hours with no hiccups. Everything is running smoothly. I just started this thread to ask if the PE team is building for 2.3.5?

Yes, ill will be starting to merge it in tonight. Was thinking about just re releasing as 2.3.5 but there not many changes. Mainly bug fixes and changes to nfc which we don't have. Once updated well see if I'm going to add more or just relrelease.

excited even though its not that big of an update. 6.5 is the best running build to date.

    Good catch Ozzie. Elite Information?
    And his own kernel?
I haven't run PE in a while, is that new?

2.3.5 it seems is solid across the board. Every ROM released lately has been solid.

Elite Information has been in the rom since froyo releases. it use to be called the elite changelog or somethign lol i forget but when you click it a popup accessing the server pulls up the changelog with a link to rom facts/frequently asked questions which i highly suggest people look at before posting a problem because alot of the answers to peoples question are in there.
P.E kernels have only be out for a bit now.

That baseband is very old. it is on my test droid which i never updated the baseband to because the phone is just for testing.

the most recent droid baseband is
C_01.43.01P and you can download it at petes site

Yeah...I did figure as much about the test phone, but do appreciate the response though. I was actually running that one until just recently and my phone has been very happy considering all the punishment I put it through...

I updated to pete's recently and it wasn't real happy right off. It does feel like it's settling in now. It always seems to be like that with these phones, they need a little break in period.

2.3.5 will obviously be some sweet sauce. Will we get to use the check for updates?

I like that it's jumping up to lucky seven instead of six point number > 5

Are you saying you only just now installed that radio?
I can't remember when I flashed it, but I would kind of be interested in any changes you notice.
I don't really know what impact the radio version has, but it has to be relatively important since they have updated it several times.

Anyone know what services and processes the radio is involved in?

It should take for you Ozzie, since it has for everyone in the past. I wonder if the longer you use a version of the radio, it creates almost a metaphoric electronic dry riverbed that could conflict with how the newer version's river flows. Resulting in it needing to change the terrain rather than flow down the existing riverbed.
Pure conjecture by this fool, but I would like to know.

now if y'all excuse me I have a full dance card

Lol...I'd say that is a fair analysis about the riverbed...and I think that covers more than just the radio.

It was a little lumpy at first...not quite wanting to get traction, but I'm gonna let it ride. I did download all I could find anyway...new isn't always better...

Thanks grezy, I finally realized your baseband prolly didn't matter and that it was the older one. I remember updating long ago.
Looks like only CM, Pete, and SD are doing 2.2.5 so far.
Pete's and SD seem stable with few problems. I may be wrong but I think there's more to the AOSP update than the nexus security thing.
Camera and camcorder seem fixed finally.
Isn't your build from AOSP? Looks like Droid is actually reaching EOL. Sad but true. Only a few devs still in the game. I think I may go with Bionic even though 4G is 2years from me.
That's a month yet so I'm watching for your next release closely.
    Hope it's soon.
Anything new to fix 3G drops?
    I'll be waiting.

Oh new is most definitely not always better. I at 37 am way cooler than most babies, just not as cute and mushy faced.

Humans also have the dry riverbed issue, called habits and ruts.

What is the latest for PE 7? I am not sure what the proper etiquette is when asking about a new release, so my apologies if it is frowned upon. Let me know, and keep up the great work!

There is no need to ask about proper etiquette, just ask the question :p
