My office is in the basement of a building and often I can't get a signal down here. Will this cause the battery to drain faster by keeping the droid on? I just got my droid a few days ago, and the battery doesn't last an entire day when I keep it on here.

Thanks

Yes, most phones if they have to continually hunt for a signal will causethe phone battery, any phone battery to drain faster.

What he said. It definitely runs down faster when you're in an area with fringe reception.

I would say yes. I work in the radiology department of the hospital in my town and I don't get good reception in here often. On the days that reception is poor, my battery runs down quickly.
