I can't get my laptop to connect wifi tether. It says connected but will not load pages. Any help would be appreciated. Have looked everywhere and found nothing to help. Using a dell latitude 6400 atg. By the way I am root.

In my experience, the only way i've been able to do a wireless Tethering has been by using the DarkSlide rom(which is fast and stable). The rom comes with 3g hotspot built in. It works great. This function is free btw.

Turn off autosync in settings/my accounts. Then try it. Also grab WiFi analyzer from the market and look for more open channels.
