wifi help

I want to start off saying I have a droid x and Im having problems connecting to my home wifi network. I stayed on the phone with a verizon tech for over an hour an nothing worked. I know its not the phone, I can go to a friends house and it works just fine, and my wifes blackberry bold connects fine to my network. Please help any way you can, I tried searching for the answer but no luck so if there is a post already, please link me to it.

How about some info like the security type you are using, brand and model of router, as well as the security type your friend was using if different. Have you check to see if there is a firmware update for your router? if using WPA what ever change router to a simple passphrase word if you have odd characters for yours.

it shows that im on line with the phone but it will not do anything on the net btw im talkin about my network here

edit*** i changed my WPA to his and it works now thanks for bring that up i had no idea....
