Wifi and Battery

My wifi is always off and I ensured the Auto-Connect Wi-Fi option was unchecked. Still, the wifi is consuming 9% of my battery. Do you know why that might be?

Same here, I think that someone somewhere thought you really, really, really wanted to connect to WiFi. It's almost annoying. Because where I work WiFi is only for customers. For most people though I think WiFi is cheaper and saves data charges.

For anyone looking for a solution, this is the only one I've found so far. I'll report back on how it works.

Perhaps this is only impacting a few folks, but switching off wifi through Smartactions solved the problem. I've also noticed improved battery life in the past 2 days.
