Why? Why can I stream porn on my phone but not flash?

Yes, exactly. I know it is a 10 minute limit, then WHY NOT GIVE US AN ALTERNATIVE! God, the defunct googlevideo was better than that. Youtube is useless unless you want to watch clips of people getting kicked in the nuts...

So what your really saying is that you don't like the 10 minute time limit they set on a standard user? Movies have been uploaded to youtube, and they are 2 hours long and they work just fine, so it seems to be that your upset that users who take copyrighted material and try to post it to the site are no longer allowed to?

I am not discussing anything other than the excuses that are made, the unmentionable industry can get a fully functional streaming client (looks like in a standard browser) over night it seems, but the regular community is WAITING AND WAITING...
Why is that surprising? The industry has always been an early adopter of technology. Flash is much more than just streaming video. You'd really have to ask Adobe what the issue is since Flash is their product.

Can anyone start a list of HTML5 sites! We might be on to something here!

You can join the html5 beta on youtube at youtube.com/html5

Also I know Vimeo.com is doing a beta. Just find a video on their site and click the Switch to html5 link under the video.

Can the Droid play html5 video? youtube.com/html5 changes to the mobile youtube site in the Droid browser so I can't even get to the page to find out.

We don't have flash yet, that's about 99% of the issue he has.

The way you get around that is that when you go to the main youtube.com website, at the bottom when you are in mobile mode, there are 3 options you can choose, mobile.. touchscreen.. and desktop... If you choose desktop as your option it will allow you to then browse the site like you do from your desktop, and when you type in youtube.com/html5 you can now get to that site and opt-in for the beta.

he's not asking how to dl porn, he's saying why can they do one thing but youtube can't stream a whole movie... well the problem is that youtube can, they limit user uploads to 10 minutes as a way to try to prevent people from uploading copyrighted material without authorization from the respective networks. Youtube has a movies section, and they are full length movies, they may not be exactly what you want to watch, but they are full movies.

Porn developers have done it again, just browsing around I came across an AP that will stream full porn videos to my phone. The only problem with this is I DON'T WANT TO WATCH PORN! I'd rather just stream decent content onto my phone which seems impossible. Youtube has content, but it is CONVENIENTLY breaks it up into 1/5th chunks. Very useful...

IMHO, youtube sux.

I have a fast internet connection - RR Premium ~ 9.5 Mb/s and youtube more times than not stutters and has to pause the stream to catch up. This is w/ std def vids, the HD ones never stream right.
I know my connection is good. I get a solid 9.4 from my usenet provider whose servers are accross the country from me.
Also, I posted a vid from my droid to youtube 2 months ago, and it still doesn't show up under search.
what gives?

Sounds like a personal problems and not a YouTube systemwide problem...

I routinely get HD and video's are searchable fairly quickly.. I have playlists that never have problems.

The problem may not be YouTube, but the route to you or your setup.

Yeah, like I said anything over 10 minutes seems to be broken up, I am not sure, but I don't know many TV shows that are 7 minutes...

YouTube only allows 10 minute uploads. That's why videos are broken up into parts. The uploader has to cut it up to fit and upload each part seperately. It has nothing to do with flash or with the YouTube player in Android.
