People are tired of carrying around stuff.
that's why we're in the smartphone movement- we're tired of carrying laptops and frantically searching for a starbucks hot spot.
internet and gps nav in our pockets.

    less to carry.
    less to worry about.

You are correct. For on the go anyway. I'd love a tablet to take notes in class and to integrate the lectures for school. Also it's awesome for driving games, holding it like a steering-wheel. VROOM!

I still want the Norton Ink Adam...that thing looks so sick! And not only does it run android, it can run Ubuntu....way too cool.

160 hours of battery life...how can you go wrong??

Would be a great Laptop replacement!

I agree too. Although, I just tried and my Droid will fit sideways in my front jean's pocket, where I normally carry it. That means a device 3 times as wide might fit in there too. That would be a pretty good sized screen. If the tablet was still a phone you could use a bluetooth device and not end up looking someone walking down the street with a keyboard held up to the side of their head. Maybe all pants come with cargo pockets. I'd prefer that to a giant holster :)

Maybe two connections on either end and then you could connect a strap and toss it over your shoulder? Before anyone says how stupid that would look take a look around at everyone with the bluetooth earpieces in their head. 10 years ago it wouldn't have been as accepted as now.

It was a joke...they do seem *kinda* cool just because of the power and quality that I know is in that thing.......

    BUT

I know, that after it's released, we will see a tablet of equal or *better* quality running Android (just like the iPhone and then came Droid). And I'm not straying away from Android

tablets have lots of potential, but the problem is, it's such a cost investment, nobody wants to spend the money. businesses could go completely paperless by implementing wifi and issuing tablets to their workforce, but who's going to pay for it?

students could save money and space on textbooks, but then each student is required to purchase and maintain the equipment.

no only that, but the iPad only has 1024x768 resolution. once an actual tablet is released with actual 1080p quality resolution and can go 20+ hrs on a charge, then i'll be interested.
