I'm using blackdroids 6.5 rom with swype already installed when I go to kill apps swype is in the list I kill it and it turns right back on. Anyone know the reason for this? I'm always skeptical about keyboard apps I would just like to know why it always needs to be running I know it was wrote by a trust worthy company/t9 guy or whatever but this has me curiuos. thanks

You do know that you don't need to worry about apps running in the background, correct?

I'm not worried about apps running in background because of memory or other issues I'm worried about swype not being able to be killed considering its a keyboard app which has the abilty to collect data I type.

Swpye is a keyboard app... it needs to be ready when you call it... thus it is like the old "Terminate and Stay Resident" programs... if you kill it... it cannot bring up a keyboard when called.
