Why does Droid come on when plugged into the charger?

    I thought that the Android 2.0.1 update was going to fix this? At least that's what it said on the VZW report...

    It says in the user manual that your phone is always on when charging. As we programmers like to say: it is not a bug - it's a feature. :)

    Actually, in this case it probably is a design feature. When in the dock (and charging) where it acts like a clock, and in the vehicle dock where it acts as a SatNav, well... you wouldn't actually WANT it to go to sleep. So it was probably designed to be that way.
