Why does Browser's "share" button require a "social network"?

Is there a way to get the share button (the small circle with two arrows coming out of it) on the top right of the browser to bring up the standard "share page" options? On my bionic, I touch it and I am told that I must first have a Social Network installed on my phone. I don't want a social network, I want a quick way to send a web page to ReaditLater.

If this isn't possible (which would be ridiculous, by the way), are there stable alternative ROMs that let me add a webpage to readitlater with two taps or less?

The "share" button's only purpose is to post stuff on your facebook or twitter feed, etc. Have you looked inot the Dolphin browser? It has a slew of add-ons that can do most anything. Not sure, but there is always a chance there is one that will accomplish your goal.

It's completely counter-intuitive, but long press on the white URL address box and you'll get a pop-up to "Share Page or Copy Pare URL."
