Why do you need root access to move apps2sd?

    Sorry if this is the wrong section.
    I'm just curious, why can you only move ALL apps to sd when you have root? I have spb shell 3d and you can't move it to the sd card and its 20mb
    But with root access I can put it on my sd. I emailed the devs and said make it app2sd and they said its impossible to make a launcher moveable. Clearly it works...

    It will work, but its best for a launcher to be in the phones memory for faster access. You need root to move apps that the developer hasn't included that option. If they feel it will cause a problem they won't do it.
