Why cant we get 4.4?

    Because the Moto X wasn't AVAILABLE when many of us bought our phones and we are stuck in 2 year contracts.

    Hey, anyone catch the news on the iPhone 6? I forgot, someone told me my iPad 2's would not be able to upgrade to iOS8.... and there would not be widgets... I was right!!!

    I don't think anyone said "iOS8 wouldn't be available for the iPad2".
    And iPhones "Widgets", if you can really call them that, still pale compared to Android. You can put "Widgets" in the Notification tray. Lame....

    On our phones? 4.4.3 was the last, I believe. New update came out yesterday. Anyone try it out yet?

    I updated mine a day or so ago and ended up with 4.4.2. on phone.
    A buddy of mine got 4.4.3. - that's why I asked.

    Update Successful

    A check for updates show phone is up to date

    I thought Motorola announced that 4.4.2 would be the last OS version for the 2012 Droid line? Maybe new system version updates...but nothing past 4.4.2.

    My buddy has the same phone I do - and he says his updated to 4.4.3 - there is one explanation - he is being a wise azzz and trying to mess with me.

    Before I could ask for a screenshot, he 'fessed up, says he hit 3 instead of 2.
    He is old, married, and swallowed too much pepper spray during our CO careers.

    Ill admit. The iPhone took 2 years to catch up to Android. But they did. Im sellin this phone asap when I get the 6.

    The iPad2 will certainly not support 8. How on Earth do you know ios8 will support widgets? You an Apple insider Jimmy?

    LOL OK OK Geez...
    But I stand by that iOS8 Widgets are NOT really widgets if they can't be place don your Home Screen. They are glorified Notices.
