I rooted with unrevoked tool, applied baseband update, then installed the leaked froyo rom. now I can't make phone calls or anything.

Anyway, I tried to unroot/downgrade using the PB31 file, and when I try to load it, it says that files are newer and won't go on into the process. Any Ideas?

sooo. did you have to dial *228 and reactivate? there really isn't a reason that you shouldn't be able to root and run one of the ROM's available here.
