    who got the update and tried to root?
    did it work and what did you use?

    I got the update while rooted and it kept root

    Were you 4ever rooted? Have you ever installed a leaked update?
    I was rooted and OTA'd and now cannot re-root. I was pretty sure I was 4ever rooted...

    Interesting thread. Maybe I should go back to Stock/Rooted and see if the OTA arrives and installs.

    If you've installed any leaked updates the 5.8.894 will fail every time.

    never used a leak. i was 4ever rooted and it kept root.

    No, I have not applied any leaked updates; just the ROM's. I will give it a whirl to see what happens!

    I installed the update while rooted and lost root with titanium backup. Screen shot / root explorer still work. I tried to root again and it erros out. Attached is the error i receive. View attachment 43406


    I geuss at this point I need to know if someone that installed the update non rooted can now root ????

    At least its not a brick!

    Try http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...70-r3l3as3droot-43v3r-root-bionic-v2-1-a.html and see if that makes a difference. Says it'll work with .893 but I haven't received the OTA so I can't say honestly.

    it works if you use method 1 using the aboves post suggestion i am going to re-update right now and let you know if it keeps root

    I got the update and not only will 43V3R not install but I am having trouble with superuser. damn :(
