White Envelope Notificaiton All of a Sudden

Can you please explain to me how to stop receiving the white envelope icon notification? All of a sudden started receiving this along with my Handcent icon and can't get it to stop. Thanks

If you get it along with handcent its probably the stock messaging app. Just got into its settings and uncheck "notification".

I have and nothing is checked for the stock messaging app.
