Which Scanner

Just curious ..I have searched for bar code scanners and its confusing...I wanted to know which barcode scanner is the best to use??

I've always used the one called Barcode Scanner and it's worked fine. That being said I don't use it often but I've never had any issues with it.

Personally I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.zxing.client.android . It was one of the first good barcode scanners available. It is simple and to the point.

Of course when there are options, more often than not personal preference comes into play and best usually becomes subjective. I would imagine if you were wanting to use it for shopping purposes, that one of the other scanners may be a better idea. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.biggu.shopsavvy <-- perhaps shop savvy for example.

Thanks cupfulloflol. I just downloaded the shopsavvy scanner app for my Razr w/ice cream and tried it out on a few things around me. I got excellent on-line pricing options. The scanner worked well and one touch on the price list connected me to the vendor's site where I could make sure it's the same item. I see this as a very nice way to check out the value of a purchase.
