3,000 wpm! ;-)
I am a very fast typer....just not on my phone. I couldn't decide if I should post another step by step or not....but you beat me to that. I should post a step by step for installing Liberty now so I can beat you
Have o**asm (oops!)
I win. ;-)
ok...so i am now rooted with zroot and DL both bootstraper and Liberty...i installed wireless tether and was able to use my Ipad off it...
-how do i update to the liberty 1.5?
-is their a good guide to walk you through different option once you are rooted?
Here is what you should do. IMO
first....open D2\DX Bootstrap Recovery.
Open DX\D2 Bootstrap Recovery
Select top option and grant SU Permission....wait for "success" to pop up
Select second option....your phone will reboot
In this menu Volume up and volume down are your navigation and camera = enter....back arrow goes back a level or to previous menu
Navigate to Backup\restore
Select backup....this will take a while...wait till it says backup complete then navigate back to original menu
this time select "wipe data/factory reset"
Select "yes----delete all data"
Hit back arrow
Select "choose zip from SDCARD
Find and select Liberty 2 or X (depending on if you have a D2 or DX) and hit camera button....wait till install is complete
Use back arrow to get back to main menu and select reboot
You can use the first post in this thread for referrence.....there are also instructions for installing themes and more. A lot can be found in the Liberty Toolbox for additional mod's and tweaks.
for some reason the bootstrapper recovery is not working...
I open the app...choose bootstrap recovery and get success...I then choose reboot recovery but it goes into a blank screen with the andoid symbal and an exclamation mark inside a triangle
Thanks for this post. The detail on how to use bootstrap recovery is great.
