    Froyo ROMs

Chevy's ROMs 4.4-4.6 (maybe even 4.3) are all based on some release of 2.2. A ROM is basically a version of one of the Android developer releases from Google with additions to it and modified for various reasons.

In laymans terms say the Over-The-Air (OTA) 2.2 is like Windows Vista (yes, it's Linux based, but for discussions sake). One of the ROMS is basically Windows Vista, with nice little themes added, cool tools to use and everything spiffed up and running smoothly. Sort of like getting a computer from Dell or Gateway with their little add ons. It's like a souped up version of Vista.

The latest release from Chevy is 4.6 which has his bkapps/rstapps built in to backup and store your app & data stuff and some really cool tools to customize things yourself. I highly recommend it!

His installation instructions say you shouldn't need to. I didn't switching from cM6 and had no issues. Make sure you do a backup first, than if it doesn't boot, do a wipe.
