I am new to Android development and want to get started. I am following the suggested path from the Android Developers Web Site. It seems this web site is a little behind.
My question is which current version of Eclipse should I download?

    Eclipse for Java EE Developers
    Eclipse for Java Developers
    Eclipse Clasic 3.6.0

    Thanks for your help!

Try MOTODEV_Studio_for_Android instead. Its Eclipse preconfigured by Motorola to develop apps for Android. REad more at motorola site.

Eclipse makes it extremely easy to add different packages and addons. The different packages are just that. So it almost doesn't matter which one you download for android stuff, since the Android SDK stuff you'll download from Google has what you need in it.

With that said the Galileo EE package is very popular.

Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers | Eclipse Packages

Or the standard java IDE package which has a lot less stuff in it

Eclipse IDE for Java Developers | Eclipse Packages

Or decide which one you want yourself. :)

    Thanks for all the replies.
I ended up downloading Eclipse Jave EE and getting that set up. I also downloaded the MotoDev Studio and really like the install process for this one. Not sure which one I will end up using but I will play with both to see which one suits my needs the best.

    Thanks again!
