Please tell me which root method you use, and tell me about it.
    (How you did it, Pos/Negs).

    Thanks..

I want to root my charge but little scared that z4 root isnt working and I read about gingersnap but I would like to watch a video on youtube before I root mine.

I tried z4 on my vortex and it wouldn't work. I got gingerbreak to work but I had to uninstall it and reinstall because it wouldn't load properly the first time.

I used the Odin method, with instructions provided from this post:

    [Odin][Rom][5/29/11]AC's Altered Beast **Alpha** Voodoo & CWM, ED2 with root - xda-developers

I just ran the Voodoo lagfix at this time. Not interested in running Roms at the moment. It's easy once youve done it the first time. My first try, when the flash failed, and continued failing, I was just freaking. But further reading showed to just keep trying at it until it takes. Sure enough, after 3 consecutive tries, it took. Nice and easy once I read some more.

i havent tried AB but GC works great. personally i dont like some of the changes made to 1.8 so im still using this [ODIN] [ROM] [Bundle] Gummy 1.75 + Imnuts OC CWR Voodoo lagfix - xda-developers

btw: this is the guide i have used for odin every time http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14147928&postcount=3
obviously you have to substitute your file and phone but the base rules are flawless

I used odin to flash a rooted kernel. I tried gummy, it's ok. Currently I'm running the ee4 altered beast and it blows gummy away. I highly suggest ab :)

i have been watching ab, only reason i havent tried it yet is the list of "things to do" are long as my arm. i like to wait until they get the rom tightened up a bit so im not flashing new versions every week.

btw, im using the danalo mod of gc rom.

my priorities when choosing a rom are, 1st does it make the phone better and work properly, 2nd how it looks
