I have what appears to be backups of my apps under my Downloads folder on my SD Card. Does anyone know where these files came from. They are labeled "downloadfile.apk, downloadfile-1.apk, etc." They go up to number 227. They seem to be a backup of my apps, multiple times because they show the icon of which app it is. I want to know if I can erase theme because I use Titanium Backup to keep up with my backups and I think those backups are kept in a separate folder. Thanks in advance.

They are safe to erase, this is where market apps are stored while downloaded from the market, upon install they get moved into the data/app folder within the system of your device, if the install is unsuccessful the file stays in this folder
