When will my device reflect my new phone #

I obtained a new VZ number when I got the Droid and took the decision today cancel my existing ATT account and port that number over to the Droid on the VZ account. While the Droid now receives phone calls from the ported number it still continues to make calls using the old ATT number.

The porting process was initiated this morning, so do I have to wait longer for my phone to reflect this?
