For one, how many ads and extras are enough? Can you make money (I mean hear me) now?

I have never been on the popularity list here with the admins, but another reason I don't visit much of late is how long it takes for the pages to load. Or am I alone in this? I mean, it feels as though I am on dial-up here. And to check out why (scrolling, etc), I gotta make sure I double click on a border (whereupon IE8 shows "Not Responding") lest I click on one of the 10,000 ads and then totally freeze up my experience (leading to the three finger death punch, CTRL, ALT, DEL).

Just putting out a feeler to see if I am alone. I know I can't be the only one on 1.5 DSL.

IE is terrible. Find a new browser.

The bills have to paid. It takes a lot of resources with a site of this size. We've all seen sights a whole lot worse. Sorry you're having speed issues.

I have absolutely no issues logging onto the site or browsing through the forum. I don't really understand the point of this thread.

I'm rocking 768k DSL had haven't had any issues. If you don't like ads modify your host file to block them

definitely try another browser instead of IE... that's where I'd start.

Earp,
I'd suggest Firefox with NoScript. That will block every ad on every page unless you tell it not to. It only shows images directed to the source of the page by default.
