Every few seconds the GPS comes on, sniffs around for a bit, then goes away. I can see it doing so with aLogcat, but can't see what's calling it. Not the best for battery life. Standard response is "Well, turn off your GPS unless you need it. That way whatever's trying to use it won't be able to get to it." 1. I don't want to have to turn it back on again every time an app legitimately wants to access it, and far more importantly... 2. I'm a system administrator, and it's impossible for me to let something like this just go when I have root access and logs to dig through. What's the best way to figure out which app is calling which service... in a realtime way, not just checking app permissions to see which apps might *theoretically* call GPS??
