I used a method that was on droidlife. It involved a command prompt and some droid files. How to: Root Motorola DROID Running Android 2.2 FRG22D - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog One of the steps was off, But I continued with it anyway and it worked fine for me. I was scared doing it because I didnt wanna brick my phone lol, I forget which step it is thats wrong, It tells you something different in the command prompt but if you keep going with it it'll still work.

+1 ^^ this. But if you have problems with RSD Lite, you _might_ want to check out the xda-developers link provided, but be warned, those 'one-click' programs can be a bummer as well.

    good luck

I rooted my Droid right before that dreaded frg22d update. lol Now 2 friends are asking me to root there phones. I'm going to try the first method mentioned by Guidot on the phone that I have in my hand right now, and the XDA version in a week when I can meet up with my other friend. Hopefully I will be successful with both methods and I will let you guys know how it went. :blackdroid: :blackdroid: :blackdroid::blackdroid: :blackdroid: :blackdroid:

There is a user who has as their sig "root your droid regardless of version". Its how I rooted my moto droid frg22d. I have to find the link though.

It requires rsdlite and a download of some files, and using the command prompt on your computer
    Droidforums.net appified!
