I DL'd and played some Robo Defense over the weekend and I saw my MotoDroid temp at one point reach 125 degrees. I'm OC'd to 1000. Is this normal? Is RD just a processor intensive game?

My hottest battery temp was like 105F, but I've heard of higher.

I have the full version of Robo Defense that I play a lot at work. I have never really checked to see what the temp of my phone gets but I know it gets warm. I will check it tonight while I am playing and let you know though.

The first time I root my phone the day after I was driving and had my Droid in the car dock, charging, and running Nav. I had noticed it rise up to 120 I started worrying and it kept rising. At 150 I pulled over and set the AC to high and put the phone on the vent.

And then I learned different kernels may make it run cooler. Tried it once more on CM with P3Droid. Topped out at 110.

Mine melted the sun. Is that hot?

Seriously, I saw 145f on the first Koush I ran. Promptly restored UD 7.8, I think.
Never gets above 105 these days.

I did a stress test of my own concoction just after overclocking was enabled, and I reached 174F before coming to the conclusion that the typical user would never see temps at this extreme. Trust me, you don't have to worry about baking your phone. It does far more damage to the battery to reach high temps than the CPU.

Basically just don't worry about it. :)

I'm overclocked to 1250 and mine reached 143F just the other day. I don't like it going over 120F. The specs of the chip are rated for much higher but when you can feel the back getting hot enough to fry an egg I think its a bit warm! LOL

Exactly that's what I've been telling people too. I've gotten mine up to 178f while stress testing a 1.3GHz kernel I promptly turned it off and took out the battery when I noticed it. I usually don't get above 140 and I'm overclocked to 1.2GHz.
