    So I was wondering if someone could be super helpful and give me a description on the differences of each Rom.just one line on what their known for. Seems like their all different but I don't know how to choose. Or even narrow it down to try a couple.

    Most of the gingerbread roms are relatively the "same". They all have the same basic features and little add ons. Some give more of a stock feel, and some go all out with the features.

    But really it all comes down to the "name" on it. A lot of people use one rom over another simply because of the developer, or they've been using that devs roms for a long time. Does it mean the other roms are bad? No.

    Best advice, read the changelog/features, but also flashing roms is so easy try out one today, another tomorrow, and find one that suits you.

    I just today started a YouTube series for all the popular roms {
    Simply Stunning
    MIUI
    GPA (Pete's Stock Gingerbread ROM)
    Liquid Gingerbread
    Sapphire
    Steel Droid
    Sourcery
    UltimateDroid
    CyanogenMod (6.1.2 and 7 RC2)
    }

    In each video I go over the features of the ROM.

    I benchmark each ROM with it's default kernel at 600MHz (linpack + quadrant) then benchmark each ROM with RaidZero's 800MHz kernel (linpack + quadrant). Doing benchmarks with both kernels shows how the stock ROM + kernel config runs, then shows how the ROM itself runs (removing the kernel variable).

    I look at how big the ROM is (how much /system space is left).

    I rate each ROM on the basis of {
    Features
    Benchmark Results
    Apparent Smoothness
    Theming/Customization options.
    }

    And give details such as Android version, kernel defaults, default theme, etc.

    Then I have a conclusion, my overall thoughts on the ROM.

    It's not up yet, as doing a full review of so many ROMs takes time. Should be up by Thursday. Hopefully. Will post links when they're online!

    Also, they'll be in 720p, I'm using a camera mount and manual focus, so the video quality will be exceptional. I've done a few already and they look great.

    To answer direct, yes I do want to. But I don't have an HD camera, I filmed at my friend's house who does and he still has all the raw footage, un-editted (which is like 20min per ROM). So lots to cut/fast forward and I have some additional effects I will add.

    So sorry, not tonight.

    Editing video take sooo much time, it's amazing. Not just grab a little here,
    piece together there, and it's done. You got to watch it all and find each
    section and splice it together so it looks natural. Good luck with the project,
    look forward to see it.

    PS running GPA13 at 1gz, and really loving it.

    You may not want to hear this, but to find the ROM for you, you just have to test a couple out and the kernals and choose which runs best for your droid. For the longest time I was using Pete's Rom's, bugless beast, but I didn't like the inactivity of updates ( i understand he's busy and he has a social life ) but my OCD of updates would get to me.

    Eventually I tried Ultimate Droid's Roms, but for some reason my droid did not like his ROMS ( Force close issues on random apps ).

    I decided to give Project Elite's GB rom 5.0.2 a chance and my phone is running great with RZR's 1.2 kernal, so i will be sticking with this ROM for a while.

    Trail and error. if you decide to use RZR recovery method, it'll make wiping data/cache/partitions and trying different ROMS makes it easy.

    It sounds easy but I can't get the Roms to work. I downloaded a rom then went into rzr and made nandroid backup, wiped data, and then installed new rom, but it would ony load to the m in the beggining so I had to restore my nandroidBackup, what did I do wrong?
