I don't know about other kernels but with ChevyNo1s kernel... Just saying this to be safe.

Download the kernel blablablabla.zip to the ROOT of your SD Card.
Go into Rom Manager and select 'Install ROM from SD Card'.
Go down the list of files till you find blablablabla.zip and Tap it
Don't Check Wipe Data but you can check Backup if you have not backed up in a while.

Thats exactly what I did, except I did it manually in clockwork recovery...
I tried chevy, P3, jflg, jakes, and some others i think?
    None of them are working?

Try it in Rom Manager and update your Recovery through Rom Manager also. If it is already updated install SPRecovery (In 'Flash Alternate Recovery' in Rom Manager) then Re-install Clockwork. Did you try the higher voltage kernels?

My buddy and I have had better results torture-testing P3 kernels up around 1.2Ghz. Chevy kernels, although offering very good performance and battery life, just haven't been quite as robust on my hardware. YMMV of course. ;)

    running p3 standard volt 800

works but i want to try low volt 800 if it gets good reviews.

if i remember right running 125mhz on the previous froyo builds had it's problems .

p3 also lets you run conservative for the cpu in setcpu

I've been using P3's 1.25Ghz kernel for Froyo ever since it came out. It's a great lv kernel. I run it at 1.25 and it has been rock solid with no discernible heat and good battery life. YMMV
