I've tried just about all of them, petes is BY FAR the best in speed and battery life, all other ones seem somewhat choppy to me, like its on power save scaling or underclocked,

I was using Chevy's ulv 1.1 for a while. Ran pretty good, and decent battery life, but it was a bit choppy at times.

Switched to P3 Droid's 7-slot lv 1.1 (125-1100 MHz) last week, and it's been great! Battery life seems slightly better, phone is snappier and seems to run cooler. Quadrant scores anywhere from mid 1300's to a high of 1529 (I remember the high exactly)!

I'm using a slayher 1ghz kernal, and it's been running great.. smooth and very quick, and doesnt heat up the battery, havent seen it run above 98 degrees F yet, even under the heaviest load.
Battery life is actually pretty good, using setCPU w/Profiles, it's better than with BB6.1 & 800mhz kernal (for me at least)

Slayher's kernels ran great for me too- reason I switched was because my phone was getting very hot compared to Chevy's or now P3. P3 runs the coolest for me so far.

    P3Droid's

P3D's Low Voltage v32 froyo kernels work very well on my phone with whatever froyo rom I happen to have on my phone at the time.
