    Hey guys

a lot of these threads have been real helpful with everything ive done to my phone and i appreciate that. Now im looking to go farther

Okay heres what Ive done to my droid so far (and giving credit where credit is due):

    • Rooted (thanks to Big Lou over at Rootyourdroid)
    • Installed Bugless Beast 7.5(thanks to Pete for the ROM and Matth3w for the in-depth walkthrough)
    • Custom Boot Animation (Thanks to Topsy)
    • SetCPU (Thanks to michael huang)
    • Wireless Tether (Harald Seth and Ben)
Now where else can I go? I mean I have the apps I want but if you really like an app go ahead and suggest it I was just looking for more ideas I can use with a rooted droid.

    Wide open to suggestions guys

    Get working on this:
Droid as a USB Host? | Root Your Droid

we need some drivers written:icon_ banana: for hdd and other peripherals.

If you want to really be able to play with the "look and feel" of the phone checkout SweeterHome it's a pretty cool app (Home screen replacement) and allows for a LOT of customization.

thanks for the usb host link lol but i dont think i have that much free time to figure out that code

but for the home replacement, is that what you run? and run it over top of the bb rom? i tried panda and home++ and GDE (GDE was the one I liked the most) but it was all before i tried rooting

I guess i could try it again bc now im overclocked so it shouldnt be so laggy

but i guess what im really asking is that ur choice for home replacement?

I used that before I OC'd and have been meaning to go back to it. It's REALLY powerful and customizable I was waiting for a newer release (they released a new one on the 10th). I have been running Home++ but I think I'm going to load Sweeter tonight and play around this week.

Oh, have you tried Screencast? It's really cool, still a little buggy but it's getting better and has promise.

Wow....talk about a proprietary app...its set how the creators want them which does us no good! LOL

? what are you meaning with this?? There is very little set in that app... now if you d/l someone else' theme, than yes, they can 'lock' it so you can't change it but most of them don't. Even if they do lock it you can use it as a base for your own theme you just have to start the customization and then rename it.

Most peoples frustration will come from the app being 'too much' for them. But with patience it is the best (and really only) way to truly 'customize' the look of your phone.

lol, was for me the first time around too. But now that I've had the phone for a bit and know what I want (and how I'd like to have it arranged) I'm def going to give it another go. And now being OC'd should make it more responsive (not that it was bad before). Not to mention now that I'm done with rotting and all that (least till Pete gets around to a new ROM) I've got nothing else to do with it. Oh, and the Screencast should help. MyMobiler was a HUGE benefit on WM phones for this sort of thing.

I understand that it can be completely amazing at customizing with this app but from what I saw on the themes I downloaded, the widget locations would only fit what they had there...I placed a few to try it out and they were the wrong size and it was a PITA to get it off there. As for responsiveness, everytime I clicked the Home button I would get a black screen and have to wait for 15-20 seconds for my home to come back...I tried the new one that was in the link earlier here so that may have been why as its a beta I guess...I uninstalled. LOL
