Unlike Android police, I actually liked the Moto mod idea. I think it come down to the mods though.

LG's "friends" I didn't like.

I actually remember on this forum me arguing that 3d screen phones were a good idea and they would catch on. It was the time when 3d TVs were relevant. Boy was I wrong.

And the notch. Yeah I'm tired if it already. Partly because few companies are being innovated with it.

I think Moto Mods were / are brilliant (but expensive at times). I don't miss the headphone jack at all, so that's not an issue for me. And the notch doesn't bother me at all

Like:
Stereo speakers like on Sony and HTC phones.
Large batteries on Motorola phones.
Motorola chop chop and wrist twist flashlight and camera launchers. Best idea in smartphone world.
Finger print scanners so we don't have to type passwords.
Micro sd cards so I can save 5 years worth of data and transfer from phone to phone without need to connect to anything.
Wireless charging, don't know what I would do without. That's the only way I charge for past 6-7 years.
Waterproofing! I remember liquipel used to cost $75 a device.

Dislike:
Curved display on Samsung phone. What were they thinking?
The notch! Lol, enough said.
Tiny batteries in LG phones. When will they learn you can't pair 4k screen and 3k battery.
No phone jack? No thanks, even though I hardly ever use it, I'd like to have that option when need be for headphones, aux Jacks, thermometers, card payments.
All glass phones. Nobody cares what the back looks like, most are stuffed in cases anyways.
ShatterShield on moto phones, when you need to get protection for the protector.

That's about it for now.

Can't argue with most of your list. On the like side the wireless charging I can live without it. It's not efficient enough yet for me. I'll just plug my phone in, not a big deal.

On the dislike side the notch doesn't bother me. A larger battery? Who doesn't want that but my G7 last me all day.

All glass phones and headphone jacks, agreed and the ShatterShield being so prone to scratches, that's why I'm glad I got the Z Droid instead of the Z Force.

I am amazed how cameras are progressing in mid-range smartphones

I hate the bigger is better phenomenon. Been hating it for years. Some of us deem a 5 inch screen is sufficient. As long as the people spending their money are voting on the "porn looks better if you don't have to squint", the trend will continue.
