Just wondering what kernals you are all using that are looking stable with your new BB v6 on the OG Droid?

OMG...the stock kernel flies for me. Are you guys having speed problems?

I don't see any reason to change it. I'm assuming it would help with battery life as well.

I did it through ROM Manager

And I like the phone to be a bit faster, myself. I will only be using it for another month or two before I am eligible for an upgrade, so I am just trying to keep it simple for now. No sense in tricking out something that I will be replacing shortly.

I'm using Chevy's 1.1 ulv, but only maxed to 1000. When I kicked it into 1100 and rebooted, it started ghosting and freaking, had to pull the battery, and fix it.

At a constant 1000, it seems to run alright. I really don't see the difference in the ROMs though. Between .5 and .6

If your phone dislikes 1100 that much, you should probably be running a 900MHz kernel 24/7. Slayher makes a nice one.

My phone does that at 1200mhz and 1100mhz will generally be fine for 24/7, but occasionally I get a force close where-as I don't on a 1000MHz.

Yeah, I've ran a Chevys now for a while, I tried a Slayher a couple of months ago, but it was the 1.6.

I'll nandroid and try the 900, thanks for the help man.

    Chevy's 1.2ghz ULV 7 slot

This thing is screaming and rock solid! Had SetCPU set at 1200 and Performance and it's been flawless for the last 24 hours (1664 quadrant). Setting it to On Demand now.

My last Droid couldn't handle the 1.2ghz. 900 was perfect for it.

How are temperatures like for you guys? Do you find your phone getting pretty hot, even when doing mundane actions? I'm using the Stock kernel and using onDemand, I'm getting an idle temp of 30C.

I think what he meant a few posts up, was if the kernel was built on anykernel format. Its a form of installation that is built into the kernel. Google it.
