What is the Dialer?

It is always listed in what my battery is using but as far as I know I am not using it.

Yes, I use it as a phone. dancedroid

Like right now Voice calls is at 32% or 8 min. 34 sec. Dialer is at 16% 43 sec TOTAL time in use. I have noticed the Dialer using battery even without using the phone.

Well, I'm just guessing. But I thought it may be the dial pad making the connection, you know, the tones you hear after touching the call button but before the party answers. But if it's running w/o making calls, idk.
