Very good guess, and one would think eh!
I'd like to know how that turns out for ya...
Well, here is a little report on what I have done.
I have installed an app called Phone Prioritizer, which allows me to schedule a script to run (as root) at a regular interval. It's called Phone Prioritizer because the initial intent of the script was to adjust the priority of the phone app. I am not using it to do that, but I am having it run Chevy's task killer, /system/xbin/csm, every two hours. I also turned off Compcache and installed the Swapper 2 app to give me a 32Mb swap file (Swappiness set to 20). Finally, the Phone Prioritizer app can reboot the phone once a day, so I have it do that each morning just before I have to get up.
So far, my experience has been good. I have not had the phone do a hot boot on me (it used to do that about once a day) and I am now able to use the Map and Navigation, which I wasn't able to use before (it would cause the phone to crash after a few minutes -- a full reboot). The camera app still gives me problems, but I overall the phone is better now.
