What is going on!?

My droid has never been more laggy than it has been the last few days. I havent changed any major details either, just running helixlauncher as my home replacement as usual. I have done nothing out of the ordinary but the last 4-5 days my phone has been sooo slow that it is getting frustrating. My handcent (after touching the button to activate) will take almost 10 seconds to load and my other various applications after running, I will hit the home button and it will take between 5-10 seconds for my home screen to load. What can I do to help this problem?

reboot, clear cache, or wipe data

I have rebooted, let battery die out, cleared all messages and cleared all cache and handcent is DEFINATELY extremely laggy still. Going back to home screen isn't AS bad as it used to be but not what it used to be. I did delete a few apps such as juicedefender and juiceplotter as well hoping that the extra space would help but haven't noticed any positives worth while.

I'd try uninstalling helix and see if that clears up the problem.
