What is being downloaded to my phone?

The only indication of what is contained in an automatic update to my thunderbolt was "Trial offer will be downloaded to your phone and your phone will be restarted automatically." Is there a central location to see what each update does? And can you control which updates are uploaded? Sorry, I'm new and still used to apple.

no idea what that is. its not an OTA since that is not a trial. it could just be an app update, but i have never seen an app require a reboot right after updating.

what happens when you tap on the update in the status bar?
