What exactly is Tapatalk?

I've seen this mentioned alot and found it in the market, but I'm still unclear as to WHAT it is exactly and why it's so special? I hate missing out on exciting apps!

if ur using the droidfoums app, its pretty much the same thing as that but for all forums.

Exciting would be the EXACT opposite of tapatalk. What it is, however, is useful. As Abe mentioned, the DF app is a cut down version of it. If you don't forum on other sites you don't need it.

Well if you visit other forums, you are missing out.

My local car club has a forum that is Tapatalk enabled. This means if I pay for Tapatalk I can login and post to that board on the go. Its nice because if you have multiple forums to visit and are popular (lol) you can get notifications when you have pm's.

Its only worth it for that though.

Same issue. It would be helpful if i knew which forum sites used the app. I only use it with this site now

If you go to a forum web address on your stock browser it will say something about "this forum is android native, download tapatalk" or something of the sort.
