What do people want Flash for?

Go into your browsers settings and set Enable Plug-Ins to On Demand. That way videos will only play if you click on them to play and will not start automatically.

Because you can watch any streaming videos. Look at the guide in my sig, you could only do that if you had flash

Well alot of the sites I go to have it in one place or another, some are just little things here and there that i'm really not worried about in the least. Some want it for the ability to watch flash vids on their phone, some music sites have flash components but then again alot of them alot have apps. So mainly i would go with people just want to see if they can watch flash vids on their phone, which some sites are starting to block on phones.

and that is the point it... is proprietary nonsense. "FLASH VIDEO" IS NOTHING MORE THAN H.264 WITH AN ADOBE WRAPPER ON IT! Same for the audio. It is wrapped ACC file.
