Covid-19 is proving to be a particularly cruel disease not just because of its pathophysiology but also due to its consequences for our mental health. With the isolation and social distancing, a lot of people now feel sad and depressed. My smartphone and tablet helped me combat isolation and loneliness during the pandemic, what did you do to combat depression?

I'm trying to take a one hour walk each and every day. Back in the day I used toxicants, but in the long-term it just messes you up. I'm not talking about antidepressants here, no.

I also do some exercises at home, it's good that we get help/tips from experts on how to avoid depression during the coronavirus outbreak.

I usually go to the gym before the pandemic happened, now I have a set of exercises that I do at home. I am a very social person that's why the isolation has affected me, but you are right, my phone and my laptop have helped me coped too in a way because I get to do video calls and online chats with my family and friends.

I know how you feel, it's really hard to adjust to not doing the things you usually do pre-pandemic.

one more thing that helped me whenever I feel down is to visualize a happy memory, I close my eyes and go to a happy memory.

That sounds like a good idea, just like in the movie Peter Pan. Think of happy thoughts

Where to start and where to finish. I think working on the depression issues first slowly would make the eating part easier as the brain feeling happier naturally asks for food.
