I know there was a thread saying what ROM people would like the Elite team to work on and its obviously Gingerbread. But I know a lot of people have gone back to 4.2 till all the kinks get worked out of GB. So heres a Poll on the roms.

I've been running 5.0.2 since the get go.
    same with my wifes phone.

so far aside from the ultra rare 3g issue for me (once or twice in a week)
it's been really solid and running smooth for me

5.0.2. PEv5.0.x has saved me so much internal space! The ability to lock apps in memory solved my issue. Never had the 3G issue yet.

Apparently my phone hates gingerbread. I havn't had one gb rom run smooth...random reboots are crazy, market apps won't download, annoying lag sessions, fc's...you name it. 4.2 it is, would be stoked to see the honeycomb theme ported to 4.2!

    4.2

It works. D1 hardware not meant and can't properly handle GB.

I just went back to 4.2. While GB is new and the added features of PE5 are great. My phone would reboot to many times to warrant keeping any GB rom on my phone.

I was on 5.02 and voted GB in the other thread but have since switched back to 4.2. Pe is the best gb rom I have run, but still not as smooth and snappy as 4.2. Current gb builds just seem to be too heavy for d1 ram

I go back and forth! I have never had the 3G issue with 5.02 but I do have an issue with my home key. I have to hit it a number of times before it works. This was so annoying so I went back to 4.2 (where my home key works fine) but 4.2 doesn't have the HTC Calibrate (I could not find it in the market) and when in 4.2 my screen is off a bit which makes it hard to type!

I'm on 502 and have been since it released. Every once in a while I get the 3g issue but I'm on wireless at work and at home so it's not a dealbreaker. I'm not running any custom theme.

    I love the ROM.

5.0.2 now, may go back to 4.2.
5.0.2 has gotten really slow/laggy since initial install.

    try clearing your Dalvik-Cache
if I remember right GLD had mentioned she does that to help keep things snappy

I voted for 4.2 since I have yet to make the leap to 5.x. I really want to make the upgrade, but after hearing about how lots are having issues with not getting pic/ video messages I have yet to do it. Now if I lock Handcent into memory will that let me get all of my messages (txt, pics, and videos)?

5.0.2. Have not experienced ANY of the problems people have been having. I have tried MANY roms and right now, this seems 2 be my favorite. Its speed, stability, and features make this my ROM of choice for the moment. Will never go back to Froyo. No need to.

FYI, I do wipe cache and data 3 times before I install any ROM. Usually do not have the problems that most people experience. Its amazing how people can have different experiences running the same ROM on the same phone. Oh well...:)

I went back to 4.2. I never really had all the problems people were talking about but when I did hit something it was bad. Sometimes I would wait seconds after unlocking the phone. I said it before and I'll say it again. Its gingerbread not the Elite team. My phone just doesn't like gingerbread. The Elite team does an awesome job with everything.

PE5 worked ok for me, but that 3G issue gets annoying. 4.2 for me, the only thing I miss from 5 is the ability to select options for the Galaxy S notification widget for sound and brightness.
